The Pakistan Military Academy, also known as PMA or PMA Kakul, was established in 1947 as an officer training academy for the Pakistan Army. It is near the village of Kakul in Abbottabad, Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is Pakistan's only academy that has worked to train cadets to be army officers.
There are 16 businesses and four training battalions in the PMA. The institution receives approximately 2,000 visitors annually from 34 nations. The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) offers cadets and officers from many of Pakistan's closest allies advanced training in contemporary military theory.
Introduction to the PMA Long Course:
Regular commissioned officers of Combat and Combat Support Arms and Services are eligible to take the PMA Long Course. The long course lasts two years and is broken up into four terms of six months each. After two years of training, cadets are promoted to Second Lieutenant.
